    What premix and what tires?

I started a thread below, but this is the info I am really interested in. First, what ratio are you guys using for premix. My trike is an 86 ATC 250R, and it says on the frame 20:1. I think that is a bit rich. I have been running my dirtbike at 40:1 with Yamalube for the past 6 years with no problems. I know that is probably a bit much for the ATC, but what is right?

Next, what tires would you recommend? I live in Las Vegas (desert), and as stated in the other thread it is rocky, not a sandbox, though we do have a small dune area. Either way I need a tire that will deal with mostly dry, hard pack and rocks. There are some loamy spots, but mostly hard and rocky. The front will last a little longer, but would like thoughts for that also. One more thing. The tires that are on there now are 20x10x9. Will 20x11x9 work? I also have an extra pair of rims with paddles. They are 20x10x8. Which rim would be better for the new tires. Essentially lower profile or not?

I run 20:1 in mine and is jetted for 3300 to 6600 feet. It runs great, no fouling and barely smokes when warmed up. I use a good quality petroleum based old school 2 stroke oil.
As for tires, I have been running these ITP mud lites that work great for all terrain from trails, sand, snow mud. They are 6 ply tires.
I thought they would be rough but actually quite smooth.

Kenda Klaws and Amsoil Dominator. 9 inch rim if your not hitting them off rocks or anything but you may want more sidewall offered with the 8 inch rim if you have dents in your 9 inch rims.
