always wanted one

Ever since i was a kid i wanted a 3 wheeler. now i know this isn't much but i just got a 1980 honda 185, and a 90 for my boy. anyway my question is (since this bike has no suspension) how capable will this be in the deepest darkest forest in oregon? is there anything i should know about upkeep? and i think i remember how to rebuild an old honda carb from my mototcycle days but just in case do you guys have any pointers? thanks.

Welcome to the board, you've come to the right place. People here will be alot of help with advice and parts. Get decent shop manuals to help you with the trikes, honda factory being the best, but get a manual. I'm not sure what you mean by capable, but you will have alot of fun with your trikes. They are non suspension, so they will be a little rough riding, but with a good tune up and periodic, they should provide you with alot of fun. Parts can be tricky sometimes, but as long as you don't have to have your trikes 100% factory original, you should have no problems in getting the parts to keep them running. Good luck. Good fresh oil, a nice sparkplug and the adjustment of the valves, cam chain and timing are the main things.

you should be able to get a manual on e bay, i have seen them on there. i just added a 1980 185 to my bunch. i like it alot.

Those old 185s and 90s are nice, simple, reliable bikes. Lots of fun in tighter places where the big bikes are tough to handle. Used parts are widely available and relatively inexpensive. Have fun with 'em!

Those old Trikes can go just about anywhere. My Honda 125 M has no suspension and a small motor but she is great on the Trails, in the Mud and snow, and just plain Fun.

As for no suspension just keep your tires a little under inflated to take some of the impact but not to underinflated cause then you hit something hard and break the bead and then your stuvk with a flat.
