Does anybody know how a company like Lonestar was able to make aftermarket frames without infringing on Honda's patents?? Did they pay for the right, modify the design??
Just wandering, thanks for your help

I think most ofthe frames are designed off of 250R geometry which has been around a while. Long enough for the patent on it to expire? I dunno. Possibility, I do know that the aftermarket frames haven't always been around.
I think you have to change a certain percentage of the origional design. All the after market R frames I have seen are round tube, instead of square. That & some other small changes was probly enough to make It possible. But I'm not sure of all the details. For some reason 30 percent change sticks In my pea brain.
