Does any one know if an old air cooled CR 125 top end will work on a Liquid cooled '84 CR 125 bottom end? Thanks for any info.

this is the f---- dumbest thing i ever read.jeeez come on dude use your head
I plan to put the motor in a 200X. I found an '84 Cr 125 motor without radiators and an air cooled top end, I don't want to have to buy radiators or fab the mounts. Plus it would reduce some weight. The air cooled top end would be enough power to do what I want.

well then just look for a complete air cooled engine. doesn't have to be a honda, unless your trying to keep the same brand name.Originally Posted by ryan250r
see its not going to work. the cases are different. the bore will be different. also the stroke will be different. your not really going to feel the extra weight of 2 radiators and coolant.

If anything in the long run you will like the liquid more. It will keep it cooler so you can rider her hard longer!
