    Bought an '82 ATC200 for $150!

This trike is in great shape! Original everything, except new "wooley booger" tires out back.. Only needed the carb gone through and fresh engine oil. The compression release seems to be broke. It looked like it had a cable there before. Do I need this thing or is it removable? Also, I'm thinking of taking the chain guard off. Does anyone recomend not doing this? Thanks for some input folks!

Congrats, Nice find. If the compression release isnt stuck open, leave it alone, you shouldnt need it anyway. If the chain guard isnt broke, you should leave it on. It will help keep dirt and garbage out of your chain, and extend its life.

Leave the chain guard on! It will help keep the chain looking new and not wear out nearly as fast as it would if it was open to the elements.
