I've known of this place for about five years but never made it down there, we had to head down to look at a 86 R this morning, which turned out to be a pile of Junk that the owner would not budge on, So after that we drove on down. a 70 year old guy owns the place, at first he did'nt want us walking around or looking, he specically wanted to know what we were looking for and he would call us later if he found it, well heck, I told him I don't know what I wanted until I found it, so I kinda left him with 84Tecate and went searching, I bet there were 4 seat pans out there for the 81-82 R, I at least 4 parted aircooleds... the stuff was piled 10 feet high... there is no way the guy knows what he has, 25 years of collecting stuff and he has very little interest in selling any of it. its kinda cool... The Tri Z tire had a conversion hub on it that fit the 84 tecate with drum brakes, so you could run the skinny tire... I just had a blast looking at all the kool
parts.
Well i'm sure i'll get flamed and be called a bad person and what not, but if that guy is 70, he might not "be around" much longer. I'd keep my eye on that place, maybe youll be able to buy the whole lot of parts.
I'd go get those 81-82r seat pans! From what i understand it is RARE to find a good 81-82r seatpan!
