    Striped FRONT Sproket SPLINES

Well i finaly got my 200x/m running and working good when i striped the slines on the front sproket shaft so i think. I took it all apart and the threads are worn pretty bad but dont look to bad , also the chain was lose. I could see the shaft just spining on the sproket. Any one know how to fix this or do i have to bye a 200m botom end?
    thanks alot

you could possibly weld it but if you have to replace it you are **edited**.

so do you have a 200x or 200m bottom end? if it is 200x then i have a nice bottom end that you can buy pretty cheap.

to repair it you will need to split the case and change the shaft. the cheap fix is a welder and if done right that can last many many years.

Easiest: Weld a new sprocket to the shaft ( as 200x Basket said )

If you don't want to weld it then the easiest way ( without welding ) is to change the Bottom end out.

The hardest would be to split the cases and just change the shaft. It's a very time consuming proposition.

I bought a 350x motor from Bill_X_R at about 4-5 years ago. The reason he sold it was the front sprocket was welded on. That motor is in my main 350x and it has held up great. So a good weld will hold up for a long time.

make sure yout sprocket is in good shape before you weld it because you dont want to grind the weld off and re-weld a new one on because the teeth are worn. good luck
