    My friend got one last year.. brand new.. i was amazed at the lack of quality control.. un-even spacing, CHEAP parts.. but not a cheap price tag !!

    But .. they sure as hell attact attention and do better than viagra.
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    My uncles old 2003 Sportster vibrated so bad it hurt to ride. The mirrors were also so cheap I was riding it and the thing just snapped in 2. I hate harleys.

    That's funny. I agree with alot of what he says, but I don't think HD's are all that bad. My dad has 70k miles on his 91 model and it really hasn't given him much trouble at all. He gives me crap sometimes messin around with me and my "Gixxer". I just pull a wheelie and ask him "Can you do that on a hog? Hell Nah"

    To each their own I say but HD isn't exactly the best choice if you're compairing $$ to what you get. You're paying for the name no doubt but if that's what you want then that's what you should get. I just wouldn't get one for myself.

    An air cooled, v-rod engine on a cheap simple frame with a pipe, handlebars and headlight(crappy ones) and a seat that you wouldn't want to make your worste enemy ride on is worth $20, 000+!?!?!?!?! WTF is wrong with people!!!

    I belive HD is way overpriced. They are getting with times a little more now with fuel injection, rubber mounted motors on all models now, and they are finally experimenting with the 6 speed on the Dyna models. Stick a radiator on one and they might not be half bad bikes, but the price would still be a big factor. HD is WAY over priced. Just like the Corvette. I am a huge Corvette fan, but up until recently, the vette was an overpriced Z28 Camaro.

    All BS aside though, if everyone liked the same kind of bikes and shared the same opinions, the world would be a boring place... Thats my opinion.

    Harley's are crap. I owned a couple before I learned better. I made the switch to my v star and I have not been happier. there is no way in hell any Harley would have stood up to the abuse I have put that Star through since 1999. It has need absolutly no mager repair and still runs great. i have ridden that thing like some one elses wife for almost seven years now and she still starts up and runs great.

    The V-Rod is watercooled. I have a 72 sportster xlch 1000 and it has been a great bike since i have owned it. I put the electric starter kit on it to make easier to start but it will kick start no problem once you know how to do it. My dad has a 97 Electra glide standard and it has been a great bike also. I guess to each his own but I like my Harley..Chris
