    Anyone here play golf?

I mean like actually play it for the sport and to be good at it. Not, oh man me and pete got drunk and then got a swan drunk and fed him chicken sandwiches (lol sorry 3legged). I used to play in high school on the team and I took last summer off from it and just rode all summer. It felt nice since all my summers since the 4th grade were on the golf course (pretty much my baby sitter). I even worked at the golf course I belonged to. So what about you guys?

I use to play a bunch. I played in high school my freshman and sophmore year, made varsity both years. Never was the best usually was 5-6 on a 8 man rooster. I lost interest in it after that. I think I found girls.

I have only played a few times since then. Now days I can pound the ball, problem is I have a nasty slice. Oh I graduated in 1992 so that tells ya how long it has been.

I am a golf club member and play off 13. My new years resolution is to get to single figures somerime this year. I play cross handed. A left handed grip with a right handed swing. I can always get a job in a freak show.

I was 2 man on varsity freshman-senior year. My freshman year was my best year though, 38.3 average in 9 hole matches. Never made it to state though and that what bugs me the most. Made first team all conference freshman-junior year. I need to get rid of a lot of nice clubs though.

I play Charlie. I'm nowhere high 30's for 9, but it's not just an excuse to get drunk and waste some time to me either. I'd say I'm a solid bogey shooter. Let's hook up and play a round at Bucyrus this spring. I'll let you try my driver...hehe...everyone who hits it blows 20 yards or more past their norm.

Yeah I'll give it a whack Todd. I told my self I wont buy anymore clubs though. What I got now is about equal to a very, very nice 250r in value. I like bucyrus's course, a little bit tight but at least its not very long.

I dabble in the fine art of golfing myself from time to time... But I'll never get caught dead wearin a pair of plaid pants. To most it might seem really boring but infact... once you have many beers in you it does get quite fun.

I actually had my best round ever over at Valley View in Crestline. We played the back 9 over there one year for our regular weekly outing when the Bratwurst Fest was on. I bogeyed the last hole for a croud pleasing 40...lol.

I just play Bucyrus the most because it's handy and I get a $200 gift certificate from there for xmas.

I know what you mean about the length though. There are 4 par 4s I can reach from the tee there.

I've been playing Golf for about 5-6 years now (since I was 13). Last year I picked up some Callaway X16 irons for free (retail for $1000). My brother got them with his sky miles and didnt like them too much, so he gave them to me. I love them....it sure as hell beats my old 1970's Wilson's. Got the 'new' TaylorMade 580 driver, SW and Nubbins putter.

Im actually taking Golf as my gym elective in college right now. We done the putting last week, and the next couple of weeks we are working on our short game.

I was gonna take golf as a class too but it was a 2 hour class on thurs nights and it was only worth 1 credit. I have Ping Eye 3+'s, 2 iron-sand wedge, Titleist 983E driver with the Speeder shaft, Titleist 980 3 wood with steel shaft, and Scotty Cameron Stainless Studio Newport. I have lots of name brand extras in anyone wants something.
