    85-86 tecate 250 engine???

    does anybody know if a 1985 tecate 250 engine will fit a 1986 tecate 250? Is it a direct bolt in replacement or will it require mods?

    no they are different from what i understand. at least the top end is.
    1985 KXT 250 Tecate - kx cylinder, kx ignition, bassani headpipe, answer silencer, v-force reeds, 38mm airstyker carb, +2 franks swinger, raptor rear shock.

    1996 YSF240 Blaster - maxxed out!!!

    no it wont work, the exhuast exit on the 85 engine will hit the 86 frame.

    throw a KX250 motorbike motor at the 86/87 Tecates, from 1985-1996 they fit well apparently
