i just got mine back together and am real sure i got the timing off 180 degree's - grrrrrr ! will tackle that issue tomorrow night,,, maybe.

speed20, i put the cam in with the lobes up and they should have been down or no pressure on the valve train (compression stroke-tdc).
easy fix,,, rotate the cdi pick up thing (it was off too by the way)
i had to have the mrs. give me a pull start but otherwise mine fired up okay. didn't change my kicker shaft when i had the cases split so it has a slip spot where it don't grab,,, oh well,,,, it starts good enough for this year
