    is my carb clogged?

My 82 200 and 83 200e have the same carb right? when i put the front tire on the back of another trike, the 82 drains gas out of the overflow the way it should. But the 83 does not, and thats the one i have problems with. Think there is a clog somewhere?

it dosnt run all that great, if it is at idle for too long it dies and i have to prime the carb, and when im riding, it will bog once and a while so i have to full throttle it and it has to be at high idle or it wont stay running.

Personally, I think carb cleaning (on an ATV) should be something you do on a regular schedule. I clean all of mine usually twice a year if not more. Then again I don't usually run an inline filter from the tank either (yes I know many atv's have a sock filter built into the petcock). While they will catch rust and other dirt from the tank - I've found what usually cloggs carbs is varnish build up from fuel in the bowl, something no filter can block. Clean they carb and your machine will probably thank you for it.

I usually run fuel injection cleaner through gas tank it eats up any varnish left from old fuel. This keeps every thing clean and keeps float hinge also from sticking.
