Yes. I'm not sure exactly how to fix it, but yes it is possible. (Only in a 4 stroke though..)

What's yer problem that you're having? More likely that you'd have a bent valve, in which case the head has to come off and the valve needs to be replaced. Bent valves are caused by overrevving or incorrect cam timing/timing chain skip.

You say you had no compression, that could because one of your valves is stuck open. (check through the 50 pages of threads) I guarentee you sticky valve was metioned.

Who is going to be pulling the head, if the valve is the problem?
I would suggest having a mechanic do it.
YTM heads are hard to work on, the rocker arm shafts get stuck in really good and they're impossible to get out how the manual says.
I took mine to a cylinder head shop, they pulled the rocker shafts, replaced the valve seals and grinded the valve seats.
Cost me $100 for the head work, they had to make a tool to be able to pull those shafts out. I think a head gasket is $27 or so.
yeah most likely if that is my problem are family freind will do it he is very smart and has alot of skills with motors. It will be a ckae slice for him..
