    Question more power?

As I mentioned in a previous thread I found a nice mud hole, now I'm hooked, I think new tires will help a bit (looking in to that) but what about power not realy for top speed but more like low end power for things like mud holes and hill climbs suggestions for power and tires wanted thanks.

Change your gearing so its lower, either make the rear sprocket bigger or make the front sprocket smaller. You could get a Cobra exaust, they help a bit, mabey even a K&N/UNI air filter.

If you are speking of a Shaft driven Big Red - put smaller tires on the rear. Stock Big Reds have 25" tires, so downsizing to a 22" tires is a significant "low end grunt" difference. I have had 20" rears on my Big Red and it's rediculus how much grunt it has in the mud. Expect a top speed reduction from around 50-55MPH with 25" tires to about 32 - 27 MPH with 20 inchers. Well worth it if you don't care about top speed. With 20" tires on a Big Red you can take off from a dead stop in like 3rd gear.

Yea I did that also on my 200, they have 25" and I put some 22" wooly boogers on it, does awsome until you bottom out. My gearing is 12/47, it was 11/47 but that was really low so I bumped it up a notch, I really like the way it sits with those tires too.

Wouldn't using the low gears of the dual range tranny accomplish the same result as a smaller tire or sprocket change?

I would keep the big tires and change the gearing. Big tires are nice when your going through the woods you can climb over downfall much better than small tires. They also give you more ground clearance.
