When you buy a new piston kit with piston rings and c clips, like a Wiseco kit, do the rings come in seperate packs and are they numbered? How can you tell the first ring from the second?

When you buy a new piston kit with piston rings and c clips, like a Wiseco kit, do the rings come in seperate packs and are they numbered? How can you tell the first ring from the second?

The second ring should have a slight taper to it, but it depends on the piston. Also there should be a small mark near the gap on the 2 top rings to show you which side is the top side of the ring. On an atc110, the second ring will have a slight taper on the outside of it, and the taper is widest at the bottom.

I noticed the oil ring is a strange little sucker. I did not see any marks to show which side faces up on the oil rings. Are they universal?
