i was wonering if someone could tell me if any other front ends work on the 85/86 250R's. i heard 350X's? do eairlier year 250R's work? sold my 350X the other day so its time to start building a 250R from scratch. this way it will be exactly the way i want it. thanks

I think only 85/86 250r forks work on 85/86 R's. I hope that helps.

You'd be better off using an '85 or '86 R front end. 350X forks are alot smaller and I'm pretty sure they have less travel. Everything on the R seems to be beefier than the stuff on the X.

350X is too small. No reason to run that fork anyway. The R fork is stiffer, and more travel, much better working. 85/86R forks are the best trike forks ever made.
