quadsport swinger bearings/bushing replacement
I have an 89 quadsport 250s that im selling, and i need to replace the swinger bearings/bushings. They went on the last ride...it sucked...
How had is it to do? Do i have to take the axle out of the carrier, then the carrier out, then shock and then the swinger? Or can i just unbolt the swinger, chain, brake calpier, shock and pull the whole rear end off? Or can i take the carrier with axle installed out of the swinger, then pull the swinger?
Also, how do i get these bearings out?
Can i pound them out from one side? Or are there little shoulders in there like on the carrier bearings on my 250r?
Any tips? Has anyone done these before? I already ordered the all balls kit...but im wondering what im up against. In teh clymer manual it says to have a dealer press them out and put new ones in...im selling this so i dont want to spend any extra cash on it.
Thanks,
Mike
