    Seized slide in carb

How do you get it out?
Its been soaking in WD-40 for 2 hours and still wont budge. If I heat up the carb on the outside by the slide, will it expand so I can pull it out of there?

Take a flathead screwdriver and gently pry up on the slide, it should break free, allso at the same time you can give it a push on the throttle to help the slide along.

I got it, I pryed the slide up a bit, but it was still tight as hell, so I used a punch to get it back down, and It kept working it. Looks like someone ran maple syrup through this carb, its nasty!

Probably better off pulling it right out and cleaning the whole carb with carb cleaner then yamahauler!

Yea, it is off the bike. Im getting it running for a friend. He took the throttle cable off at the thumb throttle.

Its soaking right now, so I'll have to back out and see how it'll clean up.
