    Clutches (quick idea)

my 200s clutches are a 4 pack and I have an extra set of clutch discs...I was wondering if I could make it a 5 pack? the clutches were slipping so Im replacing them. and there are more mods to come so I want to be sure I get as much to the tires as possiable. The engine is apart as we speak and I wanted some input before I put it together and either "Fly or Die"

    Thanks for you time

If it comes with 4 discs and you replace it with 5 - you will have clearance issues, or you won't be able to put it back together - (too much spring tension). Go with the factory specs on # or discs and you'll be fine. You are not gonna increase the power enough to slip new discs.

OK - if you are upping the horsepower to say 16HP and you weighed something like 350 lbs - then you may be concerned about the clutch, but rest assured, you'll be fine.

I did 5 pack, couldn't help it...but it pulls hard 0 slip and no problems I guess its a good idea so far...when I put the other Ported head, cam, and xr200 carb I think it couldn't hurt to have the 5 pack setup...to ensure 0 slip
