Trailer hitch drawbar ?

I have this exact drawbar here (not cushioned like this one though) and bought another vehicle.

Installing it the proper way, it will work but could be a bit higher. Can I flip this around to raise the ball a inch or two with out any problems or is there more stress on the weld like that?

you can flip any draw bar without issue all the way to 8 inches without undue vehicle stress but if you are dragging anything heavy you should concider sway bars and a load distribution hitch

The idea is that, loaded, hooked to your vehicle the trailer should be level with the ground, that way the brakes work properly and the vehicle and trailer isn't stressed. What ever you pull the weight should be centered between the axles or over the axle and your trailer tounge weight should't exceed what the trailer is designed for. ie; 200 - 250 for an 17/8 ball 250 to 300 for a 2 inch ball etc. If tounge weight is too light (load to far back) you'll screw with your ABS system and cause braking issues with the trailer.

that will actually change the height by about 3", but it can be used either way.

Yea...I used a 3" drop upside-down on the Aerostar, and then turned it around when I got my truck...
