Hey I just bought an 85 Yamahauler 200er and my oil drain plug is on the side of the engine like that. There is a screen filter inside on a big spring that should be cleaned when you do this. Also, if you haven't, change the rear diff oil. I had to use a chisel andto get the plugs loose but these drive units are extremely hard to get here in Florida.
