    My next truck project!

This will be my next toy hauler. I love older trucks (and women). I plan on dropping in a 7.3 Powerstroke and a modern interior. These old crew cab Fords are pretty rare, but the truck is far from original. If it wasn’t for that, I would restore it to original condition. The only big problem is the roof section of the cab. You can sit in side and lift up on it. I have only seen three of these in my entire life in this body style. I have searched for one of these for a long damn time. I am going to get started on it as soon as I get to my duty station.

Is that a '67? My uncle used to have a '67 f-100 ranger with the 390, and factory airconditioning. Really nice truck. I plan to get one someday.

It is a 72. Ford ran that body style from 68 though 72. I also have a 390 and the AC is on a shelf.

a guy that used to live a few miles from here had one, used it as a daily driver too, this is the only one ive ever seen other than his EDIT, his was just ext. cab, not 4dr

RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT! AND NEVER LOOK BACK, THEY ARE TOO FAR BEHIND TO SEE!!

Id rather have a sister in a WHORE HOUSE than a brother in a FORD!

That is a rare piece you have there. You have your work cut out for you though. That is only the second 4 door I've seen of that body style. The more common truck during that era was the 4 door international harvester truck believe it or not. Good luck, and keep us posted.

I was originally going to use my 429. But I am learning a lot about diesel engines now and I think a 7.3 will be a good choice for what I have planned. That truck is going to way up in the air by the time I am done.

It looks to me to be a 67 or 68. My dad had several Ford Crew cabs. The one I liked best was his 65. Most of the Ford Crew cabs were special orders by the Forest Service and Union Pacific. His 65 had a 240 inch six, his 68 had a 390 V-8, and his 77 had a 300 inch six. The 65 had a short step side box, the 68 had a short wide box and the 77 had a long wide box. You can tell a 67 from a 68 by the inside door handles. The 67 had regular handles and the 68 had the handles in the arm rests. In 67 you could get the 300 six, a 302 V-8 and a 352 V-8. In 68 they made the 360 V-8 instead of the 352 and you could get a 390 with the Ranger package. You can get lots of aftermaket parts now. Look in the back of Truckin' magazine. It will be a nice ride when you get done. I just recently rebuilt a totaled 95 F-150 extended cab 4X4.

I would love to see that old 65 crew cab. Those hard hard to come by. Ford did not start doing thier crew cabs in house until this body style came along. I owuld love to have an all origianl 65 or older. But right now, function over form is more important to me.

I have been looking at Louis's truck in his yard. That was when they made a truck a TRUCK. It is as sold as can be. The body is made out of like 1/8 inch metal. Louis I hope you don't want to move the cab off anytime soon. I will be busy that day. It is heavy.

Damn Rod, do you think he will sell it. I have seen one other like that. But that one was in damn near perfect condition. It looked as though it belonged in a museum. That looks awsome.

Come on Jeff, hernia's do not hurt that much.
