I have almost the whole thing ready to assemble, just waiting for the pistion. And I decided to run a straight pipe since it sounded so cool without a pipe at all . This is gonna be alot of fun. I think the only things I need is another hub and the carb i want.

Oh and I got a real good scare today. i was grinding the steering stem off the frame and it was throwing sparks read good . Well they happened to find some 2 week old oil that I spilt so that caught fire and decided to burn my mud bug, then went to the fuel lines on my gas tank . They wouldnt go out so i just ripped the line off and quick got the gas tank outta there. Way too close of a call. Lesson learned.

Weel got some pics. A few things first, the frame is tipped so thats why it looks bent, I placed the 110 axel behind the 200x axel to give an idea of the extension.
I simply placed the blue front end on the salvage trike so dont get confused, the engine on the bench is the one I just got, and the one on the ground is the one I said "F~~~ You" to.

The first pic I believe shows the pistions I pulled from each machine. The carboned one I pulled out of this newer engine, and you can see where I cleaned it down the metal.

One last thing. Is that an OEM tire on the red front end?

ok got the 200x stem cut off so I'm looking for some advice as to the degree at which I should rake out this front end. I also wont be the main driver, he will be about 150lb. I was talking to a friend today who is a big motorcycle nut and he said most common rake found on choppers and such is about 60 degrees and that has the looks of a dragster. Any personal preferences?

Be careful, if you rake it out too much it will be a bear to steer, you don't want the kid to hurt himself. If you look at a modern drag bike, you will notice they are not raked out much, just that the forks are short. The longer you rake the front end out, not including extending the forks, the more the front end wants to flop over to one side or the other. If you've ever ridden an old chopper with a homemade rake and a long extended front end, it is quite miserable. And you really don't want to make the problem worse by adding alot of speed. The average rake on a harley is like 38 degrees, with anything over 45 degrees starting to get squirrely. I can't imagine 60 degrees. It's your trike, but please be careful, I'd hate to see someone get hurt.

What kind of carb are you gonna put on it? I am thinkin a 200x carb would work pretty nicely. If you need a piston, I have a 1mm over 110 piston/rings etc that I don't need, and I'll sell you cheap.

Well from what i have ben told, wh=ith the mods I want to do, a 185s carb works great. And I'm gonna see if I cant just hone it out and be good since there isnt any scaring to the cylinder I'm gonna use. But if I have to bore it I'll let you know

if you rake 60 degrees you might want to extend your forks - or your top end might be dragging the ground! are you using the solid 110 forks? - those short forks prolly wouldnt go 60 -

I really wanna see it - why didnt I think of raking something!! hah
