    Trike Go BOOM !

    Well I thought I was half slick because I got my freebie Big Red going for about $250. Turns out it has tranny problems and something caused the timing chain to shift or jump time or something.

    I also have a rear differential kit I bought for $150.

    So now do I take the kit back and junk the rest or is it time for a complete teardown ? Paint the frame etc. etc.

    I calculate I would have about $800 or $1k in it when finished and it would be like new. So what say you fellow wheelers?

    Go or no go ?

    Shoot me a PM about the gasket set. I used my clutch cover gasket out of mine and have the rest. Don't hurt to have some more.

    OK here I go. I'm going right now. I'm opening the door to the garage.....

    For real I am sitting here planning what I am going to do. I got this thing a little over two years ago. I cleaned the plastic and the frame. Then it sat til last November.

    I kept telling myself that I don't need to waste money on this thing but I kept coming back to this site. I always wanted a "wheeler" when I was in my 20's and couldn't afford one. Plus the rare times I do hunt and fish I have no way to get around.

    So thanks for keeping me interested and informed everybody.
