    Z Waterpump Seal

I need a little advice on how to remove the waterpump seal on my 85 Z. Should I heat it up some or just try to tap it out with a punch or socket? I don't want to use the smash and hack technique. The clutch cover is off by the way. Thanks for your responses.

To get mine out I used a bar just smaller than the insid of the water pump seal. put it in and just levered it out. Came out pretty easy.

put a little oil on the seal and case when installing helps it slide in insted of marring up the rubber from installing.

It didn't want to even budge at first but worked its way out eventually. Thanks for the tips.
