1983 200E Clutch Problem

I just put all new clutch parts in my 1983 200E Big Red. I bought a manual and followed the instructions perfectly and now i can drive it with the shifter down and if I start off in 1st with out at least 1/8 throttle it stalls, theres no pause between shifts it is really jumpy, it doesnt matter how i adjust it , Hard to down shift for 5-4 and 2-1-neutral. (I rebuilt the top end and replaced the 2nd gear. everthing worked fine untill I replaced the clutches 6 months later) I really need help so I can fix it instead of throwing away over $1300 in parts. If your problems truly started after the clutch install, I would have to guess that something in the assembly process didn't quite go right. Based on what you have said here, logic says there aren't too many other options.
