Thread: are 200x kick levers interchangeable?

    are 200x kick levers interchangeable?

    Looks to me like a 86 200x has to have a 86 kick lever.....anyone else know if these are interchangeable between years?

    Hey Benny,
    The 86-87's will interchange with each other, and the 83-85's will also, but the 83-85's will not interchange with the 86-87's. The 86-87's are a different design and are fairly unique, with the exception of a few bits here and there...
    So basically you can swap parts from the 83-85 models with each other, and you can swap parts from the 86-87's with each other, but you can't swap from 83-85 to 86-87. I hope this makes sense!

    You can use either an 86 or an 87 kickstart lever, but I don't think the 83-85's would work.

    You might want to check ebay every so often for the kickstat lever - I've seen a few on there in the past pretty cheap, although you're right, they are hard to come by. If I happen to see one I'll let you know. Good luck!

    Benny---the 86 and 87 200x kicker LEVERS are the same....there is a differance in the actual kicker mechanism though. Either way: 87 lever will work. I ened up selling my extra for $15 to a guy. COulda got $50 on ebay!!! errrr
