Hello all,
I have what I think is a ytm 200k 1983 I think. The thing starts one pull, runs good, and Idles great at startup, but after warming it up just a little ( a short spin mayber 100yds) it will not idle consistently. I have cleaned the carb and checked all hoses/ports that are obvious. It also shows signs of gas in the oil. but has good compression. any idea what I could look for? mixture screw settings?

It sounds like its too rich---,
Temporarily swap in a new plug and take it for a blast, If your problems diminish, suspect Hi float, Also try (CAREFULLY) Running it with the gas cap off. If the vents are plugged , you cant fill the bowl to capacity, and fuel flow out of the tank is Slowed down , because it forms a vacuum internally.
P>S> Mixture setting --lightly seated ,then 1 and a Half turns out should get you in the ballpark.
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.
