    Question Reproduction seat covers

Has anyone ever thought about creating a reproduction seat cover that has the side graphics and Honda letters on the rear where applicable? It seems to me that a template could be created so vinyl paint could be applied, or maybe even mark the location and have the graphics embroidered or screen printed onto the blue vinyl? I think a high quality restoration should have the correct graphics on the seat.

I see used OEM seats on e-bay going for several hundred dollars. Surely we could come up with something that would replicate what the factory did?

    Thoughts?

There's at least one person on here that can do that for like a hundred bucks. Moshman I think.

I work at an upholstery shop and the biggest problem with reproduction covers is how they were installed from the factory.

the seat base and foam are set in a vice so to speak, and the cover hung above the seat and below a heating element. once the vinyl is warm it is then press fitted with a mold so it contours to the seat shape.

when we recover ATC/V seats we have to put a seam in very back of the seat where it arches over so the vinyl will contour.

as for logoing, we have a guy here in town that does all sorts of screen printing and re-doing brand badges is one of his specialties.

I do stock seat restorations. My site is in my sig. Sorry in advance for the members who do not like people to post about the services they offer, but since you asked i thought i would go ahead and post. I do the stock looking "seamless and the pocket covers for the easy to install yourself deals. I also embroider logos if that is what the person is after. But yes, some people would prefer to have stock look rather than the companies name printed on the rear of the seat.
