i get to pick up my 250r top end today!!!!
i sent it out 2 weeks ago for a piston kit and bore i was told it was bored .20 over when i took it to the shop. they had to punch it out another .20 to make it round so i guess it is now .40 !!!

1982 250r it will run again, new rings,razors,stator!!!(UGLY)

i'm just wondering if i should put aftermarket reeds in it or stay with stock. then i don't know what reeds to buy.
the thing was fast before and it had more power than i needed(it was hard to keep the front end down in any gear)

The fresh top end with new rings and fresh walls will give you the improvement, not boring it out another .20 Just punching it out to the next bore does nothing for power.
