dish soap and hot water works but gas works better because it goes through the filter outerwares are designd to repell water but gas will go through it cleaning the the fine holes.

im pretty sure it says on the package to not use gas to clean them. it will destroy the wax impregnated layer to repel water. use dish soap.

I use the K&N cleaning solution on my outerwears, spray it until its soaking wet, let it sit for 5 minutes and wash with cold water, it will look brand new when you are done, and it dosent ruin the Outerwears logo. HH
