    110 engine in 90 frame?

I just took my engine out for cleaning, and it says atc110e on it? And on the frame it says 1977 atc us90? I didnt know this was possible? Seems to be a good combo though? Did anyone even see this before?

Yes, the big thing is you have to change the front mount on top of the head, but that is just a simple bolt on swap. The 90 front mount has 2 holes and the 110 front mount has a single hole.

yeah i saw theres 3 bolts on the frame and 2 holding in the engine. it seemed too fast for a 90? Is there any replacements for this chain tensioner? It SUCKS. The teeth in the hole holding it on are al stripped out and it wont hold up, and i was quoted at 80.00 for one

they last a really long time, you might as well spend the money and buy one... or try to put bolts under it to hold it up...

I did put a small bolt under there, it kinda bent down though, i was thinking if i put 3 large ones it would work? But i might need to reinforce the frame? Or just get a new on. But what happens if that part on the frame where it hold the tensioner wears out ? New frame?

yeah thats what i figured ! but it looks pretty good and all the teeth are there. This frame setup is pretty weird? I cant even get the axle out for cleaning and new bearings

super90, They only made the us90 until 1974. I believe it was an atc90 from 75 until 77 or 78. 79 and later is atc110. If you are talking the chain tensioner for the chain to the rear axle, you can get one, brand new off ebay for less than $25. I'm not quite understanding about the whole 3 bolt with the engine though. There should be a front engine mount and if it does not unbolt from the frame, then you definitely have a 74 or earlier. After 74 the mount bolts to the frame and the top of the head. They do have aftermarket frames, but they haven't been made in awhile. These are all aftermarket frames.

Yeah mines a 77 then. The frame is a 77' 90, and the engine is a 84 110. Im restoring it. I just stripped all then engine paint off and primed it with special paint, but figures i used the wrong primer and the paint wouldnt stick..
so now its getting some new rings and the frame is being stripped. But i just cant get the 2 axle nuts off to slide out of the carrier

Thats what I was gonna say. We had to use quite a bit of PB Blaster to get those off of my 110.
