I know ive got to replace the Wooleys that are on the Z right now, and ive been looking at replacements.
Has anyone had exsperience with Kenda scorpians? I would be getting 18" ($71). Turf tamers are an option, but at double the cost of the kenda's ($145) Im wondering if its going to be worth the extra cash.
Ive found a few tires that I liked, but im limited to an 8" wheel.
Im looking for something that has a nice forward bite, but that I can get the rear out nice and easy.

350Xhiliaration had scorpions from his daughters quad on. They looked like a decent tire, I'll post a pic.

From my experience the scorpians are pretty poor. They are very stiff in the sidewall, so give a rough ride!!! Also they clog up easily when used in deep mud
I guess it depends on the kind of riding you will be doing. Just a suggestion, but are you sure you want 18" tyres? They will effect the ground clearance and gearing considerably over the standard 22" size

He is in the UK and he cannot get a set of Knarleys without dropping a rediculous amount of cash for them.

Well Mike there is that to it, and also they look like they might have a little too much sidebite to them.
Thanks Jason thats what I was looking for, staceys with h-tracs was hard, but I would put up with that if they work for me everywhere else. Mud!!!! she wont see any mudding:P

Your best bet is to get Josh to find some and then Import them into the UK when you return.

I think the best thing you could do is to swap to some 9 inch rims and use 20" tyres, they would be the best compromise. That would give you a lot more options

Cheng Shin C826 Ice Racing tires are what I run. Flat profile with lots of tread to give foward bite. Hook up great on grass and slide very very well. Less then Turf Tamers too.

Being in the UK will make it expensive for any choice. I used to run 18" tires for ice and flattrack. For MX I wished we had more choices for tires in the day. Today I would run a 20x11-10 tire simmilar to the Turf Tamers. I used to run Tamers back in the 80's and they were a very good all around tire. Today I am sure that technology has developed a better tire. However the 10" rim will give a simmilar sidewall with a 20" tall tire as a 18" tire on a 8" rim. Ground clearance is always nice to have. Figure out what sprockets will give the same final drive ratio as the stock setup with 22" tires. or the small reduction in height will not be a big loss and will help it get on the pipe a little easier.

i just put 18 inch turftammers on mine and i love them, for what i do they are way better than my 20 holeshots i had, but i already changed my sprokets for top end so the 18's helped out on my bottom
