    painting?

I keep trying to paint my frame and this is about the 3rd time i grinded off primer and black. I get to the bare metal and clean it with soap and prep it fine like always, but the stuff seems like it never drys and i can scrape it easily with my finger? Is there some kind of trick to keep this stuff on? Im thinking about powder coating this stuff but dont have a whole lot of cash, And how would i get rust off the drum brake cover? It seems like it wont get to the bottom of the stuff with a wirewheel?

well first i used krylon paint. (black) then i tried PPG and airbrushed it. The krylon seemed to work better for this. Im thinking strip it again and just try the krylon in the can? my engines coming back in 2 days and i want this thing together in time. now im just trying to get the rust off?

powdercoating would be best but if you dont have the cash next best thing would be High gloss epoxy You would want to first strip or sand blast frame or the rust down to the bare metal then spray a bare metal etching primer to the frame, paint doesnt adhere to bare metal very well then two medium wet coats of epoxy with a spray gun! I would stay away from krylon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you doing light coats??Paint sticks better if you do several light coats rather than 1 heavy coat which can cause runs & sags...

I don't understand why your using soap?? sand the frame with 250 grit, use "gun wash" to clean prep the frame; use a high solids etching primer, sand and "gunwash" dry inspect, reprime any thin areas area sand with green 3-M scuff pad, tack cloth it clean, airbrush or paint with PPG black mixing 6;1 paint to hardner
primer goes on at 12 to 16 psi
paint at 8.5 to 14 PSI using an air brush.
you are using a drier and or an oil collector right?
this should be a first time, one time paint job if you are preping correctly.
