    Watcha think of my TRX 250r

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6724

    Long Story and I wont bore you in its entirety but Ive wanted a red/white TRX since my friend had a new one back in 86 when we were both 15 years old (His Parents bought him one off the showroom floor back then and I had my 83 RM80 . Well 20 years later I get mine....This is a really low hour machine..I have a mint stock exhaust for it....Glad I can add it to the collection. Have some NOS stuff for it but this one doesnt need much messing with

    Very nice score OC, and at a reasonable price too! A 250R in stock form is a beautiful thing. They run like a dream. So hard to find one that was never modded, raced to death, or bastardized. You must have one hell of a museum. Got any vintage restored dirtbikes or streetbikes?

    Very nice find. It is not uncommon to see some that have been rode hard and slightly beat up go for that price! That thing looks great!!

    Thanks Guys.... I am super happy about the condition of it and the price...After the auction the seller (who did turn out to be a great guy) offered me several hundered dollars to walk away from the auction because of serious offers he received afterwards. I said I wanted it and he honored it....its on a truck and on its way!!!

    Yes 99% of the 86 and 87 's were modded (most modded nicely but not to my taste) My buddy has two that EVERYTHING is aftermarket except the motor...over 15,000 he has in each of them when he raced.

    No interest in street bikes.....BUT I may look for and 86 CR500 or 250 to restore in the next year or two....I am thinking it would be cool to have an 86 lineup of the top models....That year was the highlight of my riding era so I am kinda stuck on getting now what I couldnt have then. I am slowly getting there

    you would have loved my 87.....it was new, like 5 hours total(didn't like it and started suzuki 500's ) I put it together a few years ago. I just tossed a new stock pipe and silencer for one of those...think i have a light and some misc stuff. Mike saw it...as did Cliff. If you are serious about an 86 cr 500, i have a buddy with one that he bought new that needs to be redone.

    You stoled that thing for sure! I'd think it would be in the 4-5000 range! No wonder the guy offered you a few hundred NOT to take it.

    VERY NICE + that's my favorite color combo for a machine. NO LIE...........

    my absolute favorite! ............... A++++++

    My CRF would look nice along side of that!
