    76 honda xl175 reviews

Does anybody here have experience with riding or owning a honda xl175. I've got a chance to buy one and would like some input. No pics bit it's all original and runs well. I own several honda trikes so I'm familiar with the engines and what not and how they are put together. Thanks.

If you still have the chance to buy it i would say go for it if you want a fun field bike for hunting or something. It will not take jumps or being revved too high for long because thats not what its made for. We used to have 2 but the top end went on the one and supposedly they dont make pistons for them anymore (maybe ebay though). The other one needs some work and is just sitting under shelter now. If you plan on doing any off road riding I would definately go for something newer like a late 80's or 90's xr or anything of that nature from the other manufacturers.

My mom has a 1977 XL175. It's almost mint and runs perfect. When we take it on long 2-3 hour trips the clutch always cuts out. Once you get the clutch engaged you dont touch it againg until you get home. After its sat and cooled down it runs fine again though.

My brother rides a 73 honda xl 175, it will actually be at trike fest this year for anyone who is going. He likes the bike a lot, easy to work on, enough power, and cool vintage styling. Like mentioned, not a good idea to take it off any jumps. cool bike still
