My new 350x (That I don't know how to ride)

If you've read my other post, you know I have been wanting a 3-wheeler for a while and was in the process of rebuilding a 185s. I found an 86 350x for $1500 through a friend. I though it was a good deal and some extra cash, so I bought it. I'm so green with trikes that I don't know how to ride it and riding such a fast one is scary. But I'm learning. i've ridden everyday this week and it gets more and more comfortable each day. Here are some pics...

By the way, when I bought it, he had this thing under the chain. It's almost like a piece of plastic. i didn't notice until I got home. Anyone know why its there?

Hmm. Nice X. What size of tires are on the rear? They look like 22's and for some reason they look really big on the bike. Don't tell me they are 25's..

And that "piece of plastic" under the chain is to protect it. It is there on most skidplates.. I have never seen that set up though.

Very nice x! The plastic looks like a chain slide that is supposed to be on your skidplate.

Very nice X, When i got mine i had a very great respect for the power it had. I took it very easy for a month or two before i even started actually toping it out and trying anything fancy. As for turning, if your in more than 2nd is a huge no no. If you try it, either throw your but off the seat onto the oppisite side or start braking hard!

Best thing for you to do is ride around your yard in small circles feeling for how the machine slips, slides, or pick up onto two wheels. Get used to how it handles and take it easy for a while. Allso, just remember to pull your clutch before shifting, and let it out slow downshifting or putting it into first gear. Take it easy for a while, youll get it!
