Help, 250r ran but now no Spark!

hey guys I need some help, I was rejetting my 85 250r and turned the petcock to off postion and waited till it ran out of fuel to help drain carb when the idol went REALLY high almost max RPM's, I pulled the kill switch and nothing happened. Until about 5-10 seconds later until if died, didnt think much of it, but now when I try to start it, it has no spark. I have a MSD Ignition on the thing. I have had the 250r for 4 years and this happened to me the first time 3 years ago with a stock ignition system, and ended up replacing the whole system with a MSD. Now with only like 10 Hours MAX on the trike it did it again and no spark, I need the trike in 3 1/2 weeks so I need to figure out what happened. Also I have modified the stator and the flywheel for the MSD

Any suggestions???

Check all your grounds, and connections. Probably a loose conection or a broken melted wire. Allso check your handlebars where the switch is mounted, there has to be somewhere for it to ground.

check the flywheel key also. I bought mine for 500.00 with no spark, the p.o. couldnt get it to fire and gave up. I brought it home and changed the key, runs now
