Hey everybody I am trying to put a tachometer on my 1983 200E and so far I cant get it to work. the tach is a 3 wire hook up off of a 1977 John Deere Snowmobile (I know its not proper its just what I have lying around) Any way Where would I hook these wires up to on the Honda. The reason for the tach is that im trying different rear sprockets for top speed and it revs like its gonna blow all the time at WOT. Any help would be very appreaciated. Thank You

Yellow - Illumination
Red - 12v Switched
Yellow/Red - Sensor

Honda on the Trike (tried)
Yellow/Black - Coil
Blue - Headlight
Pink - DC Convenience Outlet
