Looks like an 83 R with an aftermarket plastic tank. I think Maier made em and they held more fuel than stock

That style, with the narrow front wheel but aircooled engine was only made for 2 years....

The 250R was made for 6 years. They break down like this. 81-82 fat front tire, red motors, air cooled 83-84 skinny front tire, black motors, air cooled 85-86 liquid cooled, skinny front tire.

it is a clarke desert tank holds 5 gallons and its been painted white cause it only comes in red i know cause my 250r came with one and its now for sale.
