    85 t3 won't start

I can't seem to get my 85 t3 to start anymore. It's got a good spark, new gas, reeds, air filter, and plug. doesn't even give me a sputter, in fact, the spark plug comes out just as clean and dry as when it went in. my compression seems fine, takes about 3 kicks to build 175psi. any thoughts? the dry spark plug is what really gets me confused. even with a shot of starting fluid, it doesn't do a thing.

Clean your carb and give it another go.

checked the carb, and it's very clean inside. it seems like the gas is just isn't making it above the piston. I even tried taking off the filter and spaying gas into the carb while trying to start it and nothing happens and the plug is still dry. Maybe a gasket or seal in the crank?

Did it shear the flywheel key and throw it off time. You have to pull the flywheel to check the woodruff key.

Yup, good call. Had the key shear off of on mine once before.

Have you tried priming the cylinder by pouring a capful of gas through the plug hole and then kicking the bike over with the plug reinstalled?
