I shipped a SX not long ago. A guy bought it from me in SD. I shipped it yellow freight. This is what I did. I built a crate (which he payed me to do). Had a roof also. I left the end open, but brought a screw gun, wood, and screws with me to inclose it. Took it on my trailer up to the terminal with the bike on my trailer also. They were each tied down on my trailer individually. They backed a truck with a lift gate up near my trailer, and we put the bike and crate on the gate, they lifted and then shoved them into the truck. They backed the this truck up to the dock next. This is where the fork lifts were located. This was a lifesaver because the fork lifts could not leave the elevated dock. They were brought in by truck originally and there is no way for them to get down to the ground level. Just on the dock. So. I rolled it into the crate. Got my tools out and inclosed it in the crate. Got her good and sealed in there. Next, theypicked it up with a fork lift, brought it out onto the dock from the trailer, and wrapped it in plastic wrap. Quite a few layers. The I put a COLLECT tag on it and the bill of lading, and off she went. The guy on the other end payed them for it when they dropped it off. The shipping that is. I was paid for the bike a couple weeks before that. Turned out not being too bad.
