    250sx kickstart

Does anyone know if fixing the kickstart on an sx is hard? I have a chance to buy one but the guy says the kickstart just free wheels. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I need to make a decision asap.

Anyone out there have this trouble on any of there machines? I talked to someone who said it was a matter of replacing gears or sprockets.....Is this something a novice to mediocore mechanic could do?

its probably the sprauge/ one way bearing, you can do it with a manual if you have some wrenching skills, if you don't have a manual don't do it, when stuff becomes displaced when you pull the rightside cover, you'll never figure out where it goes
