    22's or 11's

    I can't find replacement tires for my trike! I'd welcome your good opinions.

    For my 85 Honda 250R, the wheels it has on them are not stock.

    The rears are 20 x 10 - 9

    I can only find 22 x 10 - 9 and 20 x 11 9

    Will 22's make a difference?

    Nothing changes the way a trike feels more than tires. The shorter tires are great for getting it sideways, the taller ones are better for flipping on your ass. LOL LOL Actually, tall tires are good for flotation, be it sand or water. For hard pack, 18's RIP!

    yo will gain top end with the 22'' but loose bottom end power, but thet are good for trails, i use 18''s at my friends circle track and they are sweet, i also have a set of 20' hole shots that are good for trails

    Yeah, you'll lose some acceleration if you slap on 22's. And it might look gay.

    I think what you are trying to figure out is what the numbers mean? 20x10-9 = 20"-tire height, 10"-tire width and 9"-bead (rim). 22x10-9 is a taller tire which raises your gearing. 20x11-9 would pretty much be the equivilant to what you have now. The 1" width difference would not be distinguishable. Both these tires will fit right on your rims.

    i know that dunlop makes tires that 20x10x9 if that helps and they look really good and hook up really well to. i have them on my 86R

    The extra 1" of width was what concerned me as I don't want extra drag. I hope not.
