This thing is kind of tempermental when its warm to start back up. If I had to guess i'd say its a little lean on the idle and main jet. Haven't checked the plug yet though. Any usual tips to look at?

jetting would be your best bet. just check that out and make sure it's right. if it's running a little rich, just take off your airbox lid and that should even it out. i had the same problem with my 200x. when it was cold it was easier than ever to start, but when it got warmer i had the hardest time starting it. so i just evened out the jetting by taking off the airbox lid giving it a little more air to mix with the fuel and it was perfect
That's a typical 350X for you. They can be a pain to restart when hot and you just have to find the technique that works for your bike. Most of the time mine starts in 1-2 kicks but sometimes it's more like 8-10 especially if I have been riding hard and I stall it. Just about anyone that owns a 350X has the same problem, some use a little throttle when warm but that doesn't help on mine.

I've heard people say they were known for being hard to start. I'm the original owner of one (still completely stock) and just recently got a 2nd one (this one is hopped up). Maybe I'm just lucky but I have no problems starting in 1-2 kicks at any time on either machine (so long as I remember to check and make sure i'm not out of gas). I learned the technique 20 years ago I suppose. You just have to rotate it around til its at the top of its compression when you kick it. Normally for me that means push the kick starter down once...back up...and then down about 1 third to 1 half of the way down and then back up before I actually kick it. Almost always get it on the first try.

Possibly check valve clearance, maybe getting to tight when warm? Had a yamaha and honda do this to me
Derrick mine is the same way. I just rebuilt the topend and was having the same problem. I spent days searching for the problem. Carb, valve clearance. ect... I checked everything. Everything was right. I found out the problem was me. I was flooding it. When you kill it when its hot dont give it any gas at all, no choke. find TDC and kick it hard. Mine starts one or two kicks everytime like that. But if I give it a little gas. Forget it. The leg will pay the price. They flood easy when hot.![]()

I agree - when I let friends ride my 350X - they can never get it started after it's hot - I can usually get it in one kick. Every machine is a little different to start I suppose. You just need to find your technique. Here's mine - similiar to posts above:
Find Top Dead Center, before kicking it hard. Once found, I give it 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and give it one good kick. Usually starts right up when it's hot.
Try different techniques - you'll probably find one that works for you and your 350X - but it may well be different from other's and their hot start techniques.
