    fly wheel help

    hi all I just recently got into three wheelin when i puchased a 1984 200s not running and looked terrible, well i got it running and redid fenders, well my problem is after i run it 3-4 times my flywheel comes loose not knowing it is loose when i try to start it again i strip the key any suggestions. thank you

    you could proably go to your local dump or a second hand atv parts place and find a fly wheel, thats what i did when i had trouble with my fly wheel

    The flywheel has to fit tightly on the crankshaft, ---Tightening the bolt is not enough....
    Check the crank for signs of damage , before laying out the cash on a new flywheel.
    Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

    when you tighten the nut on your crankshaft to hold the flywheel on, put some loc-tite on there. Make sure you DON'T USE THE RED KIND! You should use green or blue, probably blue its a lil tougher, but the red loc-tite requires heat to remove the nut.

    im assuming your talking about the magneto ? yes -a new woodruff key
    and RED locktight!!! this should wok but make sure you are getting it tight enough!!!!!!!
