look on the frame for the year on it, looks like an 86. from the pic it looks to be in good shape. how is it when you start it? start right up or does it take a few kicks? does it smoke when you start it? hear anything abnormal? it has a pipe on it so ask whatelse might have been done to it to modify it? internally like cam, valves? when was the last rebuild on it or has it ever been rebuilt? take it for a spin if the guy will let you, just to see how the clutch feels and tranny shifts. what shape is the plastics in? hows the chain and sprockets, rear end bearings? how do the shocks feel? are they leaking at all? all things you take into consideration when buying. anyone can have a nice looking trike that runs and drives like crap that they are trying pass off, for good money. from the pic, if its an 86, i'd go 800-1000, if its an 87 maybe a bit more because of the fact that it was the last year, and there not as many as the other years.

If the engine is quiet its worth $1000 easy. assuming everything is tight and funtional like scooterroo said. I've owned several trikes and looking back, I'd rather buy a near perfect bike for $1000 than a bike that needs some work for less. That bike looks nice, check to see if the frame paint is original. Also if the engine paint is original. When checking the rear shock, it should rebound slow. If it bounces back up really fast, the shock needs charged or replaced.
