A nice mix of about 50% diesel and 50% WD-40 in a spray bottle works WONDERS, not sure how it would affect the plastic but we used to use it all the time on our dirt track cars and it never hurt the paint job!

if my brother goes he's bringing his 230 quadsport. for anyone that was there last year, that is the same quad that killed all of our misquitos, good ole Smokey, haha. Good news is its been rebuilt and it doesnt smoke anymore, bad news is it doesnt like to stay running.
