    Hi All!

    Hello,

My name is Blair and I just bought a 85 Honda Big Red 250 that I'm real excited about!

Taking it up north in about 6 hours.
It is in great shape but I need a air filter for it

I have to get a oil filter too, so I can change the oil.
Do you guys run 10W40 oil??

Unless its really cold, I would run straight 30wt, non-detergent oil. Welcome to the site.

It is a es. All that is missing is one red reflector.

I'm going to stick with 10W30 Valvoline which I use in everything....

I still need a oil and air filter. The local shop doesn't have it. they want $60 to order just the air filter.

    No luck on ebay either.......

I ran it for 20 minutes up north just cause I HAD to but now I need to fix it up before I do damage.

Wow I love the dam thing. Put my chainsaw on the back and went at her like Paul Bunyoin....

if you have any egg crate material, you can use it in a pinch until you get one. THat is what I do sometimes, just cut a square to length and zip tie it around the filter element. It doesn't breath as well as a manufactured one, but it will keep the dust particulate out in the meantime.

to the boards. Enjoy your stay!

where would I find some? Do they ship the carton of eggs in a foam. I could just ask at the back of the food store?

It wont be in the food part of a store. It would most likely be in the bedding part of like a Wal-Mart, it is used to cushion beds and such. I like to take an oiled up rag and wrap it around the the wire part of the filter, the oil usually gets most dust, but I wouldnt push it to far.
