    Tecate Sprockets

I've done searches and looked on .org and kawiriders.com and still can't find any info on where to buy sprockets. I have found that the rear one is almost impossible to find. I know DK sells 13 and 14 tooth, but I'm looking for a 12 or 11 for a little more lowend. My good motor has a 14 and the parts motor has a 13, so I'll at least switch them first.

Any help on where to find a 12 or 11?

In their ATV online cat you will have to search for Tecate. BVP, Sunstar and JT are listed. I've ordered the BVP which is a cheaper carbon steel, wearing pretty slowly.

I've got a 14/38 combo right now with 20 inch tires. Tops out at the same top speed as a stock Raptor. 75mph?

I've also had the 45 tooth rear sprocket with 20's and it got out of its own way damn quick. Fifth gear was useless though, topped out way early.

Darrel I'm not 100% but me and a bud were racing and neither could pull away from each other. I was on his back wheels and couldn't pass and he wasn't making any ground on me. Top speed of those things are around 75mph?

I dunno, BGM -I had the RCMP do radar runs at the airport for some of us whom really wanted to know top speeds, the only full ATV/C machine to top 122 kms was a zilla. a old 87 zuk 250r which was done to the 9's was close at about 117. My T-3 was faster (and the fastest trike on site) than a couple of 350 shees that were stock I ran pretty consecutavly (sp) at 114 kms on about 750 ft. My Garmin GPS was showing 115 kms over the same distance. an 04 400 ex was at 106, a 450 was running 110 111 on a regular basis in about 600 ft, some guy with a nut job alchy full suspended Oddessy with slicks etc. was the fast dune buggy type machine (ATV / C) of the day, he was on pavement at about 120kms in 800 feet (140 in just over an 1/8th). A Ninja of some serious mods was doing way in excess of 175 kms on a 1/4 -- the cops pretty much shut him down for the afternoon when his brakes started to fade at those speeds, he was scary with the way he was operating (shorts, t-shirt, sandles, 1/2 helmet, sh!T tires). But then there were only 10 or 15 of us out with maybe 35 machines (very improptu) so its not indicative of all machines or based on rider skills, my daughter was time trapped, maxed out on a 78 Honda 90 at 69KPH so. (I could only get 65 out of it. (take it for what its worth.)

The cops agreed to come radar you? Thats cool, wonder if ours would do that. We were racing on the airstrip as well. All out top speed for almost a full 1/4 mile. Like I said its just a guess on top speed as I've heard the Raptors are good for 75.

Usually if you talk really polite to the OIC of the local detachment he will put a "bylaw officer in training" or some one to do radar traps, just make sure that everyone whom attends is responsible --helmets, plates etc make sure the county or airstrip operator is aware and in agreement, it helps here that the owner of the strip we were at is an offroad freak who will do this stuff at the drop of a hat, he even borrowed some machines from the local honda dealer for people to play with.
